Build a Niche Marketing Business – Step 17: Rinse And Repeat
This is where it REALLY gets exciting!
Let’s say you’ve tracked, tweaked and tested your site until you’re making $5.00 per day from it. That’s $150.00 a month right there!
Admittedly, your first site took a while to get done. You had to read these posts, put each step into action and complete it. It was a “fumbling” exercise, wasn’t it?
BUT, your next site will be easier. The next one after that will be even easier! Pretty soon, you’ll be able to crank out 3 or 4 sites a week.
Look at what that does to your cash flow.
If one site makes you $150.00 a month, then 10 sites make you $1500.00 a month! 30 sites make you $4500.00 a month, and they’ll keep doing that!
What happens if one of your sites starts to dwindle? You build another one!
SEE? Once you have the this process down, YOU decide how much money you have coming in. Want more? Make more sites!
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND THIS! By creating multiple sites, all using good time-tested techniques, you don’t have to worry about just ONE site any more! If your only site starts going downhill, you’re faced with not having any money coming in until you either fix that site or build a brand new one.
If you’re using THIS METHOD, you don’t have to worry as much about money because the other sites will more than carry you until you can get another site up and running.
THAT’S what we’re after here, sustainable income!
Once you see the big picture and come to understand that you’re NOT just setting up a website, you’re creating a business with THIS METHOD, you’ll start to get REALLY excited!
NOW’S THE TIME to get started on site #2. Your first site is settling in and starting to get traffic and maybe even a few sales. Tweak and test it the best you can and then get going on the next site, and the next, and the next!

You make a great point. Most people are trying to create the huge site that will be their business when just understanding how to create a site that will do $50 a month but can be repeated over and over will get them where they want to go.

Brett,
Very appropriate post. I just changed hosting services. I realized I had to do a rinse and repeat on many websites. Actually I believe it should be done regular, could help building traffic.

Hi Brett,
Great information to share.
I just have one question.
Don’t have enough time in the day to work on one site, let alone multiple sites. How am I suppose to accomplish that?
Oh well, back to the drawing board. Need to reschedule my time for all these multiple sites I need to put up. ; )
Great Job!

Hi, Brett!
Wow – the perfect wrap-up to the most informative, most complete series on building an online business that I’ve seen on any blog anywhere – congrats!
Obviously I agree 100% with you – Teri & I have well over 100 sites online, and the only ones that can be a pain to maintain at times are our earlier ones, built when the idea of a large, content-heavy site seemed the route to go. By sticking to 20-30 page sites we can get them online quickly, start the influx of traffic to them, and then start on the next.
The other obvious advantage is that with 10 smaller sites, if one underperforms or becomes obselete, only 10% of your income is affected – so we’re back to the sound principle of not putting all your eggs in one basket.
Again, great series Brett – you’d do the online community a big favour bringing this information out in an info product format, so they can have it on their machine to refer back to time and again.

I think this is where beginners stop working… they see that their one site is “only” making $2-$10 a day, so they stop or get discouraged. But they just need to repeat that over and over again like you talked about.
Online business can be so simple and easy, once you get your first site going.

Hi Brett,
Finally had some time to get back and read this post. As you know we are big fans of what we call “Shampoo SEO.” Which is based on the rinse and repeat idea. Here is an example how it worked for us.
Our home page previously was titled Local SEO Tucson Search Engine Optimization…That landed us on the first page of Google for both searches, for Tucson Search Engine Optimization were ranked # 3 and for Local SEO we usually were around # 7.
In the rinse and repeat process I had to make a decision and decide which market was the most important. We decided that being # 1 in Tucson where we do business was more important than being on the first page of Google for local SEO. So we made the change the Home page currently reads Tucson Search Engine Optimization Local SEO…
Soon after that change we went to the # 1 for Tucson Search Engine Optimization and now we are only occasionally on the first page for local SEO.
The significance of this change has allowed us to change our marketing strategy. We were already # 1 for Tucson SEO and Internet Marketing Tucson. Now with the inclusion of Tucson Search Engine Optimization at # 1 we have accomplished a trifecta.
So now when I am networking or advertising we promote the fact that we are # 1 in the three most likely searches that someone who is local might use to find our services. What I was not prepared for is the positive impression that this has made on potential customers.
I tell you this story because it is a direct result of using a Rinse and Repeat approach. This minor change allowed us to completely change my approach to explaining our business at business mixers.
On another front we will be changing some of our url’s soon to better express the current content. For us rinse and repeat is a regular part of our business practice.
Thank for sharing. I’m going to give you a Stumble as I leave.
