Now that you have your niche what are you going to do with it?
My suggestion would be to start a blog. Blogs are popular with the search engines, easy to setup, easy to add content to, and easy to administer.
The best part about blogging is that you can get started basically for free. Now don’t get me wrong here. You are better off with your own blog running off your own domain, but if you are just starting and have little or no money you can just as easily get started with a free blog.
If you need help with learning how to setup a blog correctly or you just want to learn how to get more traffic to your existing blog, I have run across a new product that may help with that.
Now do me a favor and ignore the name to the product, because contrary to it’s name, this product will be useful to anyone interested in blogging or making more from their existing blog.
The name of the product is ‘Blogging for Seniors’. The reason that this is such a great product is that it is written at a level that someone who may not be as familiar with computers or the internet can still get up and running within no time.
Also, this is written with the person who needs to supplement their income in mind. Right now I’m sure we all know how bad the economy is and that there are a lot of people hurting right now. Seniors aren’t the only people needing to supplement their income.
At 106 pages, ‘Blogging for Seniors’ covers everything you need to know, including:
1 – AN INTRODUCTION TO BLOGS AND BLOGGING
2 – FINDING YOUR NICHE
3 – CHOOSING YOUR BLOG HOME
4 – FILLING THE BLOG: CREATE OR CUT & PASTE?
5 – POSTING AND SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION
6 – SOCIAL BOOKMARKING TOOLS
7 – UNDERSTANDING INDEXING AND SYNDICATION OF YOUR CONTENT
8 – RESOURCES FOR BLOGGERS
9 – BLOGGING TERMS
Grab your copy of ‘Blogging for Seniors’ today and get started blogging!
To your success in 2009 and beyond!

You’re so right, Brett – the fastest way to get started in any niche is by blogging, especially when it’s combined with article marketing. Whenever a blog post is informational and runs 400+ words, it can be used to submit to the article directories as well, giving you twice the effect – the blog sells your niche product or sends traffic to your affiliate links, while the articles drive more traffic to your blog!
Looking forward to the rest of this powerful series from you!

Both sound like worthwhile items to me. One offers ideas, the other a way to put those ideas to work. Nice combo.

Starting a blog once you have found a niche is the place to start. And I agree that you should get you own domain name and create your own website. This gives you control over what happens to and on your blog.
