My niche was mostly selling books online and now I’m also doing that and helping others do the same. I sort of fell of fell into it and have been having a blast teaching others how to sell their books online.

You give some good reasons to use niche marketing. Also your advice on tying the first 2 reasons together is solid. You don't want a lot of competition, but you can’t compete if you don’t have something to offer.
