Hi Brett,

great subject for a series of posts and a good start.

I'd tend to agree with Lisa's comment, but well done.

I'm looking forward to the rest of the series too.

Cheers,

I wouldn't necessarily say niches are areas that have not been tried by others, or that have only been used to a minimum.

Niches are just sub-sections of a larger market. In order to succeed in niche marketing you have to target the right keywords as well as the right product/offer.

Looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

Very true... with the right niche and with the right knowledge, just about anyone can become a real authority in that niche market. It just involves a little work up front to research and being to learn what the niche wants and what you can deliver to them.

The most profitable niches do in fact have a fair amount of competition in them - but you KNOW they're profitable by the number of people working those niches. While finding micro-niches was all the rage for a while, most marketers have realized very few of them are profitable, which is why there's little competition in them.

As I know your series will go on to show, learning to dominate your niche REGARDLESS of the competition will create the greatest returns and make the most money for your efforts!

Looking forward to your new series, Brett - bring it on!

There are tens of thousands of niches out there. Some are profitable and some aren't. I recommend you remind people of Mike Paetzolds ebook on how to tell them apart. Or perhaps you were planning on doing that yourself.

Thanks for starting this series on niche marketing. I am looking forward to learning more about how to do this. I have not branched out into the niches yet. Will have to take a loog look at it and see if time is available.

Yes, you really have to find yourself a niche to get your business properly set up. Although it may seem like all of the niches are taken, their are still some good ones put to be found. Just means you have to look a little harder. Will look forward to your next post.
