I love Wordpress and hey it’s free. I tried the static way and even with the new HTML editors out there it’s still a pain.
Wordpress has so many features and is very customizable.

The SEO benefits to using a blog over a static site are another big plus – while sites can get into the ‘Big 3′ search engines, there are a myriad of blog directories and services that only index RSS feeds but still drive a lot of traffic – same with podcasting and video blogging directories.

There is the odd simple web site I have that doesn't use WP, but because of how easy and simple WP is, there is no point for me to spend the time creating new HTML or PHP pages. I for one would listen and use the information that Mike puts out. If he is testing it for himself I would think he would have a better idea about what works and what does not. And yes I agree that setting up a Wordpress blog is a lot easier than setting up a website. And I hear that Google likes Wordpress blogs more as well. With the thousands of possbile plug ins one could use its a real heads up to get the inside look at what Mike uses on his blogs.
