Marketing and social media for any niche product is easier said than done. However, we all try and hope for the best.

Great post! It's interesting to think like that... that if we know something about a niche topic that others don't, we can go supply it to them and become a authority in that market. But like you pointed out, sooner or later everyone else will be saying the same stuff.

It's easier to be a big fish in a small pond than a small fish in a big pond as the cliche says. It is important though that you make sure you pond is deep enough and full with enough buyers to make your efforts pay off. That said, there are lots of niches out there where the level of competition is less sophisticated that it is in the biggie fields that attract the top players.

If you can find an area, a niche, that not too many marketers are into, yet it has a pretty large user base you have a chance to move near the top of that niche. That should allow you to capture a lot of the market for your product - it it is targeted to the niche. It will require research and then work to stay ahead of the competition.

Great post, Brett - and the easiest way to offer a unique product is to write it yourself, have it ghostwritten or convert a PLR product.

If someone wants to operate as a reseller, often turning the product from one medium to another will do the trick. For example, audios or videos are more popular than e-books in many niches, so recording an audio version of an e-book gives the finished product more appeal, as would doing a video series based on it.

Even in the offline world you see more and more niche stores. It's difficult to compete with the Walmarts of the world but if you offer something a little different you'll create that special market. Research of course is needed to make sure that there is some demand for your product

It is much easier to succeed when you can find the little areas that allow you to dominate. That is why niche marketing works so well.

It is always easier to break into a market with less competition but making sure everyone is interested in the product. That is by far the hardest thing to teach someone new to the game as they do not fully understand. You have started to lay out just what it takes to get that understanding. Nice Job.
